Rich Crowell's Community Involvement

Rich Crowell and Golden Corral Restaurant are well acquainted with community involvement. The Golden Corral has long been established as a community-friendly business, interested in helping others –schools, churches, area organizations, our neighbors and our friends. Rich Crowell has proven himself to be very community minded, spending many man hours, and much time helping those in need. Additionally, Rich and The Golden Corral are able help many organizations, financially, and are always willing to make contributions whenever possible. Rich and the staff of Golden Corral are proud to be able to help area organizations help others, and pleased to be an active part of the Branson community!

Branson Veterans Events and Reunions

Branson Veterans Events and Reunions is a new, non-profit organization that is designed to provide fellowship and services to veterans who live in the Branson area, and those who visit. We have become a major sponsor of the organization, providing meeting space, meals and refreshments for various events. This year we sponsored the Vietnam Veterans Registration, The Persian Gulf Reunion, and the Korean War Reunion, as well as participated in many other events and fundraisers the organization held.

Branson Vietnam Veterans Association

The Branson Vietnam Veterans Association is one of the organizations that we sponsor annually. The organization meets monthly in our restaurant, and we sponsor monthly “Meet & Greet” breakfasts for the organization, as they reach out to other veterans in our area, letting them know about the services they provide. We assist with their annual fundraisers – a Benefit Concert and a BBQ and Silent Auction. We also host an annual Christmas Party for the members.

Branson's Veteran's Task Force

Golden Corral is long-time sponsor of the Branson's Veterans Task Force Organization, that is designed to provide services and fellowship to all branches of the service, to veterans living in and visiting the Branson area. The Task Force holds an annual celebration in February – the Service to Four Chaplain's – that is regularly held in our restaurant. Other events that we participate in through the Task Force are the annual July 4th Celebration, Memorial Day Celebration, Veterans Week Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and events commemorating the end of each war.

American Legion and Disabled American Veterans

Golden Corral is a long-time supporter of both the local American Legion and the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans. We annually sponsor the American Legion's Christmas party, designed to help the less fortunate children in our community. And, under the direction of General Manager Rich Crowell, our restaurant has made donations on two separate occasions to assist the Disabled American Veterans organization in the purchase of a new van to transport their members to and from medical appointments.

Daughters of the American Revolution

Rich Crowell continues our annual support of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was recently presented a plaque for his support of the organization, which includes providing a meal for the ladies following their participation in our Veterans' Day Parade

Blue Star-Gold Star Mothers

Golden Corral continues to support the Blue Star-Gold Star Mothers organization, as they hold their monthly meetings in our restaurant. We also provided a special breakfast for the group and their special guest in our restaurant during Veterans Week.

NAIA Tournament Sponsor

The Golden Corral has been a sponsor of the NAIA Tournament, held at College of the Ozarks, since it began in Branson. Each year we sponsor a team, providing meals and entertainment for the team and the parents accompanying the team to Branson. Additionally, General Manager Rich Crowell serves as an Honorary Coach to the team during the tournament, attending each game, offering support and encouragement to the players.

Reeds Spring Jr. Wolves Cheerleaders

Golden Corral helped the Reeds Spring Jr. Wolves Cheerleaders raise money for new cheerleading uniforms by sponsoring a bake sale for the young ladies. The girls, all 5th and 6th graders, and their mothers, set up a bake sale in our parking lot and offered baked goods for a nominal price. Additionally, we donated baked goods to their cause.
Project Graduation

Each year Golden Corral sponsors Project Graduation for several area schools, providing food and door prizes as the school offers a safe and fun environment for graduates to enjoy graduation night. This year we provided food for the Hollister High School, Branson High School, Reeds Spring High School, Blue Eye High School, and provided door prizes for those and numerous other schools.

Branson Public School Transportation Department

Golden Corral annually hosts the Branson Public School's Transportation Department for their annual end-of-school get-together in our restaurant. Additionally, we provide door prizes for the event.

College of the Ozarks Agriculture Department

Annually, the Golden Corral sponsors the College of the Ozarks Agriculture Department's Christmas Party. We provide refreshments for the youth, and provide door prizes for the event.

Ava Headstart Parent Committee

We assisted the Ava Head Start Parent Committee in raising money for Children's Christmas gifts and other projects for the children. We provided vouchers that were auctioned off to raise funds for the group.

Kirbyville Middle School

Golden Corral assisted the Kirbyville Middle School's annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. We also donated food and provided meal vouchers that were auctioned off to raise funds.

Mark Twain R-VIII School

We are an annual sponsor of the Mark Twain R-VII School's fall carnival. We provide refreshments for the carnival and meal vouchers that are used as prizes or auctioned off. Proceeds have been used to purchase playground equipment, computers, library books, and much more.

Springfield Public Schools

We annually support the Springfield Public School's PTA organization, providing them with door prizes and auction items for their annual school fun night.

Christian Action Ministries

One of our area's largest help agencies is Christian Action Ministries. They provide many services, the biggest of which is their food pantry. We support Christian Action Ministries, both financially, and by holding an annual Food Drive, “Freedom From Hunger” over the July 4th Weekend to help re-stock their Food Pantry.

Church Army Branson

Church Army is a local ministry designed to share the experience of God's love with weary and hurting people, through a variety of services. Some include housing and counseling for those suffering from addiction, classes in a variety of subjects, community service projects to give back to the community, and much more. Rich Crowell and Golden Corral restaurant have supported Church Army through sponsoring their annual Faith Promise Banquet, providing refreshments for their annual fundraising auction, and providing financial assistance for scholarships for those in the most need of Church Army's services.

Jesus Was Homeless

Jesus was Homeless is a relatively new ministry in our area, designed to help feed the homeless and the working poor. The organization delivers meals to feed the homeless one night per week, year round. Additionally, they hold a Thanksgiving dinner each year, with over 500 in attendance, and monthly BBQ's throughout the summer. Golden Corral provided the food for this year's Thanksgiving Dinner, and assisted with each BBQ held this past summer. Additionally Rich Crowell, his wife, Dana, Allen Edwards, and KD Michaels join in the food delivery whenever possible.

Hiding Place Ministry

Hiding Place Ministry is a local shelter for hurting men and women, and provides them not only shelter and food assistance, but a variety of classes and services. Golden Corral has been a long-time supporter of The Hiding Place, and this year Rich presented the organization with a check to assist them in helping others. We also provided food for their annual Fundraising banquet, and attended the banquet in support of the organization.

Christian Associates of Table Rock Lake

Christian Associates of Table Rock Lake is a private, non-profit social agency that provides many needs for those in Southwest, Missouri. Their main goal is preventing homelessness, through assistance with rent or providing emergency housing. They also have a food bank, a shelter for victims of violent crimes, and provide clothing and household items free of charge for those in need. Rich and Golden Corral have assisted Christian Associates with their annual fundraising banquet, and were also pleased to present to them a check to help them with their goal in preventing homelessness.

Our Lady of the Cove Church

Our Lady of the Cove Church has an active youth group, and Golden Corral is pleased to be a supporter of the youth. The young people travel across the US each year to participate in a Work Camp, providing necessary services for those in need. We assisted the youth in two fundraisers this year – a Silent Auction and a Fish Fry and Concert. Additionally, Rich Crowell presented the Youth Director with a financial gift to help the youth further their mission of helping others.

Psalm 107 Ministries

Psalm 107 Ministry and the 107 Ranch is a ministry geared to share Christ's love through horsemanship. This ranch is designed to help men, women and children who are caught in life's storms to enjoy a calm haven – those who are hurting physically, emotionally or spiritually. The ranch teaches horsemanship, and encourages each who visits the ranch to be a HERO – to learn humility, endurance, relationship, and obedience. Rich Crowell presented the Psalm 107 Ranch with a check to provide scholarships for those in need of the Ranch and Ministry's services.

My Sister's House

My Sister's House is a women's ministry founded by Pastor Cindi Lombardo. Pastor Cindi and the young ladies of My Sister's House spread the gospel across the world, regularly traveling to Africa, Europe and other nations, working in orphanages, and helping others in need. Rich and Golden Corral have been long-time supporters of My Sister's House and their various ministry endeavors. Footprints of Jesus

Footprints of Jesus is a local Branson ministry that is designed to help those in need and those wishing to step out into the mission field. Rich Crowell and Golden Corral restaurant was pleased to support Footprints of Jesus as they helped a local youth, a young man by the name of Austin Woodall. Austin is a student in a local Christian School who was presented the opportunity to travel to Germany in a work exchange mission trip. Our donation helped Austin realize his dream and helped make this trip a reality.

Pentecostal Apostolic Tabernacle

The Pentecostal Apostolic Tabernacle is a local church ministering to the needs of our community. In years past, we have supported the Tabernacle's fundraising efforts and helped with their annual Christmas party for the community. Recently, General Manager Rich Crowell was able to present the Pentecostal Apostolic Tabernacle with a check to assist in the purchase of a new van to transport those in our community to and from church.

Loaves and Fishes is a Branson organization that provides a hot meal to anyone in need, during the winter months, January, February, and March. Loaves and Fishes operates seven nights per week, and serves approximately 300 to 400 people each evening. Golden Corral has provided food on selected evenings, and General Manager Rich Crowell, KD Michaels, Allen Edwards, as well as friends of Golden Corral, volunteered to serve and clean up after the meals, as well.
Bus Kids On the Move

Bus Kids on the Move is a ministry of the Living Word Church in Branson West. The ministry provides fellowship and fun for children in the area, many of whom are un-churched. The ministry also provides those children with transportation to and from the monthly get-togethers, and provides the children with a nutritious hot meal. Golden Corral has provided meals for the children and also made donations to the ministry to support their Family Holiday Blessings event each November.
Branson United Methodist Church

Each year, the Branson United Methodist Church holds a Chili luncheon and fundraiser to support various Branson charities. Golden Corral has long been a sponsor of the event, providing auction items and a portion of the food for the luncheon. Additionally, Golden Corral annually hosts the thrift store volunteers for a Thank You lunch in the restaurant, thanking them for their volunteer service throughout the year.
First Baptist Church Forsyth

We are a sponsor of the the Forsyth First Baptist Church annual Super Bowl Party. This is a a fun and alcohol free place for people to come and watch the Super Bowl each year. We provide refreshments and door prizes for the annual event.
OASIS Ministry

Oasis Ministry holds an annual Couples Retreat in the Branson Area, ministering to the unique needs of married couples in the community. We have been an annual sponsor of the retreat, providing refreshments and door prizes for the annual event.

Frances Rittenhouse Learning Center
The Frances Rittenhouse Learning Center provides child care for the less fortunate of our area at reduced prices – often even free, so that the children's parents can work and not worry about quality child care. It is a tremendous asset to our community, serving numerous families in Branson and the Ozarks.

The Caring People

The Caring People is an organization designed to help meet the needs of single moms, by providing them with numerous services, as well as resources to help them other with needs in their unique circumstances. The Caring People helps single moms with child care needs, parenting classes, housing, and other necessities.

Rich Crowell and the Golden Corral have been a sponsor of The Caring People since it's beginnings. We are an annual sponsor of the organization's main fundraiser: Dash to the Splash.

Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation

The Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation is a recently formed organization designed to educate our community and our visitors about the history of the Ozarks region. The foundation does this through classes and tours of the area, and other special events, including wood carving, story telling, music and more.

Golden Corral and General Manager Rich Crowell are pleased to support the Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation. We attended the Foundation's ribbon cutting ceremony, and assisted with funding for their educational endeavors.

Humane Society of the Branson-Tri-Lakes Area

Golden Corral has long been a supporter of the Branson-Tri-Lakes area Humane Society. We sponsor various fund-raisers for the Humane Society throughout the year, and participate in their annual Adopt-A-Pet promotion. Additionally, we annually hold a pet-food drive, gathering pet food, bedding, and other necessities for the Humane Society each year.

Southern Stone County Food Pantry

Hunger has long been a problem in our area, and Golden Corral and Rich Crowell have always supported our local food banks. To combat the hunger problem, there are some new food banks in our area, and the Southern Stone County Food Pantry is one of them. Rich Crowell presents a check for the purchase of food to the director of the Southern Stone County Food Pantry.

Crossroads Food Pantry

Another area food pantry is the Crossroads Food Pantry. Run by the Crossroads International Revival Center, the food bank serves the needs of Taney County's less fortunate.
As is typical this time of year, the food bank has seen an increase of customers, and it's shelves were low. We were pleased to be able to present a check to the Food Pantry to help supply even more food to the community.

Boys and Girls Club of the Ozarks

We have long been a major supporter of the Boys and Girls Club of the Ozarks. We annually sponsor their Golf Tournament, providing lunch for the golfers and volunteers, and also having a team in the tournament. Big Brothers- Big Sisters

Big Brothers-Big Sisters of the Ozarks aids the area's young people by setting them up with an adult mentor to help and guide them. Golden Corral and Rich Crowell, General Manager, support Big Brothers-Big Sisters by helping with their annual fundraisers and area events. This year we sponsored and attended the Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser.

Love, INC is a clearing house of sorts, whereby all requests for holiday assistance in our area are taken. All requests are filled by Love, INC and their volunteers, through one of their many programs – holiday adoption, holiday assistance, or Toys for Tots.

Each year we are pleased to help with the Love, INC fundraising that helps them help even more people during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Additionally, we are an official drop-off point for Toys for Tots, collecting toys for their toy drive and distribution.

Branson Fire Department

Golden Corral and General Manager Rich Crowell are proud to support the area Fire Departments. Each year we sponsor the local fire department's Fire Prevention month in October, but purchasing smoke detectors to be placed in the homes of the less fortunate in our area.

Pregnancy Life Line

Pregnancy Life Line is a non-profit service providing abortion options for those in need in our area. The organization provides free medical service from a licensed RN, ultra-sounds, a variety of classes for parents-to-be and new parents, free counseling, and baby items, including clothing, car seats, cribs, and formula for new parents.

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation

The Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is a popular help agency in our area, taking care of many needs in our community. OACAC helps with rental assistance, utility bills, gas vouchers to get people to work or medical appointments, and money for prescriptions, among other services. They also provide educational Life Skills classes on a variety of topics.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, well known across America, is a prevalent help-agency in Branson, providing emergency assistance, including housing, food, and clothing, as well as numerous other services. Golden Corral has partnered with Salvation Army on numerous projects. Recently, Rich Crowell was a volunteer bell ringer for their annual Red Kettle campaign. Additionally, Golden Corral provided funds to help with their holiday assistance.

Homes of Hope

Homes of Hope, under the direction of Susan Martin, is a help agency to provide or improve housing situations for the area's less fortunate. Homes of Hope has previously built houses for those in need, similar to the Habitat for Humanity program. Currently, Homes of Hope has turned to remodeling and renovating homes to make them livable once again. This project, “Rebuilding Hope”, involves lots of man hours, and lots of funds, both of which Golden Corral and General Manager Rich Crowell are happy to help with.

Branson-Hollister Rotary Club

Rich Crowell is an active member in the Branson-Hollister Rotary Club, and participates in all Rotary events. This year, Rich was honored to become a “Paul Harris Fellow” due to his contributions to the organization. Rich helped organize the club's Polio Plus event, where Golden Corral served meals at a fundraiser for Polio. He helped with the Taste of the Ozarks fundraiser, was a volunteer bell ringer during the Rotary's fundraiser for the Salvation Army, and helped build a float for the annual Adoration Parade.

Hope Center

The Hope Center is a non-profit storage house for clothes, household items, and food for the area's needy. A food pantry, The Hope Center provides emergency food needs for those less fortunate in our community. They also offer clothing and household necessities and nominal prices, and often free to those in need. We were pleased to help The Hope Center re-stock their food pantry.
American Kids, Inc.

American Kids, Inc. is a Little League of Entertainers, designed to promote patriotism, family values, integrity, respect and future life skills among our nation's youth. We have been a long-time supporter of American Kids and a sponsor of their annual National Competition, held in Branson. We provide food for the judges for the competition, and sponsor the annual cast party following the event.
Branson Jaycees

The Branson Jaycees are a service organization that raises funds for other area non-profits. We annually help them with their fundraising projects by providing meals that they auction or raffle off to help raise funds that are donated to the many non-profit organizations in our area.
Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis

Golden Corral is an annual sponsor of the Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis pancake breakfast. We annually donate to the breakfast, which helps benefit the Salvation Army.
Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce
National Travel and Tourism Week

Golden Corral was a sponsor of National Travel and Tourism Week at the Chamber of Commerce. We provided cookies each day of the week for those visiting the Chamber Visitors Center.

Ozarks Family YMCA Run Strong for Kids
This is the YMCA's annual fundraiser, and we are a long-time supporter of the YMCA. This year we provided door prizes that were given away at the event, which raised money for financial scholarships.
Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends is a non-profit organization of women who come together to help needy families in the community. They do this by holding craft and bake sales, raffles, chili dinners and auctions. Money raised id used to provide food baskets for families who are in need and adopting families at Christmas. Each year we help the Circle of Friends to raise money for needy families by providing them with certificates they can auction off for needed funds.
Camp Barnabas

Each year we support Camp Barnabas, an summer camp for terminally ill children, by helping with their biggest fundraiser, the annual Golf Benefit and Silent Auction. We annually provide items for the silent auction and prizes for the golfers. Additionally, we sponsor a team in the tournament.
Junior Auxiliary of Taney County

We are an annual sponsor of the Junior Auxiliary Trivia Challenge, participating in the silent auction at the event. We regularly provide items for the silent auction, and refreshments for the annual event.
Hospice Compassus

We are an annual supporter of Hospice Compassus, providing funds to help the organization, and providing door prizes for their annual volunteer banquet.
Table Rock Health Care

We provided vouchers that were auctioned off to raise money for The Alzheimers Association of Southwest Missouri at the benefit concert at Table Rock Health Care.
Special Olympics

We sponsored the annual Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics by providing refreshments for the plungers after the annual event. All money from the fundraiser goes to Special Olympics.

Western Taney County Fire Protection District

We are an annual supporter of the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, providing meals for their annual banquet to honor and reward their volunteers.

Taney County Ambulance District

We also provide dinners for the Taney County Ambulance District's annual recognition banquet, honoring their employees for outstanding service.

Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association

Each year we are a sponsor of the Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association's annual State Conference, held in Branson. We annually provide the dinner meal for the last night of the conference, and additionally, provide vouchers that are given away as door prizes at the event.

Taney County Relay for Life

Each year we sponsor the annual Relay for Life event, designed to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We provide a complimentary hot breakfast for those who have walked all night at the event. At this year's event, we served about 150 walkers and volunteers for breakfast at 6:00 am, following the all-night walk.

Branson Police Department's DARE Program

We are an annual sponsor of the Branson Police Department's DARE program, designed to keep kids off drugs. We provide refreshments for the DARE Graduation, and a complimentary child's meal for each DARE Graduate.

American Red Cross Blood Drives

Each year we sponsor at least two Red Cross Blood Drives, providing refreshments for those who donate blood.

Branson Youth Wrestling Club

Each year we sponsor the Branson Youth Wrestling Club with dinners that they can auction off to help raise money for their travels. Rich also provides breakfast for them one morning before their local tournament, and the organization regularly has their end of season banquet in our restaurant.

Taney County Election Judge Training

We provided door prices for the Election Judge Training, hosted by the Taney County Clerk Donna Neeley. We also provided refreshments for the training, held in August and November.

Come Kamp and Care with Us Weekend

We provided meal vouchers that were auctioned off and also food for the fundraiser, sponsored by Branson's KOA Campground, to raise money to send kids with cancer to summer camp.

Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society Fundraiser

We were a major contributor to the fundraiser, held by Ernie Biggs, providing them with multiple vouchers for meals that were auctioned off off to assist with the completion of the new animal shelter.

Options Pregnancy Clinic

We sponsored and attended a fundraising dinner for the Options Pregnancy Clinic, a non-profit ministry designed to give abortion alternatives to pregnant women.

Christmas Family Fundraising

Golden Corral, under the direction of General Manager Rich Crowell, annually adopts multiple families for Christmas. We provide gifts, groceries and household necessities, as well as Christmas dinner and gift cards to Wal-Mart, Dollar General and grocery stores. We raise the money through change collections and various fundraising projects.

Branson Senior Center Gong Show

We sponsored the Branson Senior Center's Gong Show fundraiser to help with needed funds for the Senior Center. We provided meal vouchers to be auctioned off, and provided meals for the Gong Show judges.

This was a fun-filled event to help the area Girl Scouts and the Taney County Animal Shelter. We provided lemonade and tea for the all-day event.

Hope, AR Lions Club Benefit Auction

For many years we have been a sponsor of the Hope, Arkansas Lions Club benefit auction, held by the Lions Club. We provided multiple meals that are auctioned off to raise money for the Lions Club.

Tom Mullica Benefit

When a local entertainer, Tom Mullica, was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, Golden Corral helped with a benefit to raise money for him and his family by donating meal vouchers to be auctioned off.

Aiden Carter Benefit

Golden Corral donated meal vouchers to raise money for the family of Aiden Carter, who lost his life in an auto accident in northwest Arkansas.

Volleyball for a Cure

We donated meals for a fundraiser to raise money for the Ken and JoAnn Gore family, whose daughter was undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Songs of Hope

Through Songs of Hope, Golden Corral participated in a Fundraiser for Taylor Poor, an area youth in need of funds for medical expenses

Golden Corral was able to donate funds, through the Hollister Chamber of Commerce, to assist a young girl who is suffering from a rare skin disease.

When the daughter of a former employee was diagnosed with leukemia, Rich Crowell and the Golden Corral restaurant put together a vacation package to Branson that was auctioned off to raise money for the family.

Donnie Sneed Benefit

Golden Corral helped with a benefit for Branson entertainer Donnie Sneed, who was sufferering from throat cancer. We provided items for the auction, helped organize the auction, and provided incentive gifts for the first 25 couples in line.

Katie Phillips Fundraiser

When the granddaughter of one of our regular customers was diagnosed with cancer, we immediately began collecting funds to help the family, and were able to make a substantial donation to the cause.

Benefit for Miracle Mindy

The daughter of one of Branson's entertainers suffered a life-threatening brain injury as the result of a fall. Golden Corral and Rich Crowell assisted with a benefit to help with Mindy's medical expenses.

Isabel Wells Benefit

We provided meal vouchers to be auctioned off to raise money for a young girl who was diagnosed with leukemia.

Margie Verch Benefit

We provided meal vouchers to assist in a Silent Auction/Benefit for Margie Verch to help with ongoing medical expenses.

Jimmy Jones Benefit

We provided meal vouchers to be auctioned off to benefit Jimmy Jones who has had extensive medical and hospital expenses.

Rich Crowell spends multiple hours a week involved doing volunteer work and providing food for non-profit organizations. He has been an active member in the Branson community since he took the position as General Manager of the Branson, MO location. He is a member of Branson Rotary, District Marketing Council with the Chamber, Lions Club, Moose Lodge and serves as a board member of Branson Veteran's Events just to name a few.

Rich is also a huge supporter of Missouri Baptist Childrens Home. Foster care in Taney county. Crossroads Ministry. For their food pantry which helps families in need. Cedar Ridge Baptist Church. The proceeds went to send children to church camp. New Beginning Baptist Church. To help families in need. First Baptist Church. Proceeds went to the cooking school. Skyline Baptist Church. A growing together dinner. Stockton Assembly of God Women's ministry. To help with missions. Faith Life Ministries. To support their service.

This past year Golden Corral received Rotary Club's Business of the Year award for the first time in Branson. This distinguished award is given to the business that gives the most back to the community in volunteer work and providing help in fundraisers.
The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913 honored Rich on May 5th of 2012 the “In Service To America” award in appreciation for our contributions for the success of the Vietnam Veterans. The Vietnam Veterans hold their meeting at the Golden Corral monthly. They consider Rich like a member of their family.

The Brothers of the Third Wheel Gave an award for our donation for trike week 2011. Thanking Golden Corral for our support in making the event a success for their 29th Anniversary. We have helped make a difference.The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Gave a Certificate of Appreciation to Golden Corral for supporting their safe boating mission. The Division II men's basketball Tournament at College of the Ozarks nominated Rich Crowell as Honorary Coach for the Basketball team, The Red Raiders.  As honorary coach his duties included meeting and greeting the team upon their arrival in Branson. Attending the opening banquet with his team. Arriving one hour before games for team photos. Arriving before 7pm for the parade of champions and marching with his team. Also he was present for every game to support the Red Raiders. Golden Corral provided meals for our team while in Branson.

Rich knows the importance of the education of our youth. He is involved in fund raising events with not only the Branson School system but many other local schools including Reed Srpring, Sparta, Hollister, Forsyth, Blue Eye, College of the Ozarks, Lowry City and many others. He is involved with Project Graduation. This is an event after High School Seniors graduate. It is a supervised all night lock in that provides food, fun and games for the graduates as an alternative to unsafe after graduation practices. We do many auctions and fundraisers throughout the year to fund Project Graduation.

Rich is a huge supporter of many military organizations including being a board member of Branson Veteran's Events which is a non-profit organization that organizes events for veterans and their families. Rich personally escorts members of AVAST while in Branson. AVAST is Amputee Veterans of America Support Team. He has donated food and time to such groups as USS Cronin, the VFW, the Purple Heart Recipients and the Bob Hope Memorial just to name a few. Rich Crowell dresses like Uncle Sam on Military Appreciation Monday and visits with all the veterans in the restaurant.

Rich has volunteered time and donations to “Jesus was Homeless”. This organization provides meals to the hundreds of homeless in the area every Thursday night. Rich has gone on ride a longs to not only pass out these meals but, talk to the less fortunate about their situation. He helped with “Loaves and Fishes” in the Winter. The organization provides food for people out of work during the Winter months. Branson is a tourist town that only provides jobs for 10% of the community during the winter months. This leaves a large number of residents unemployed during 3 months of the year. Rich has also helped with “Project Homeless”. Rich has donated to the YMCA to help send 100 kids to Summer Camp. He has helped with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Rich has been a huge supporter of Kids Across America whose mission is to “build Christian leaders by encouraging, equipping and empowering urban youth and their mentors through sports camping”. Rich also is a supporter of Hospice COMPASSUS, he did a chocolate extravaganza for this event, it was a huge success. This organization helps people who struggle with end-of-life issues. He has been a supporter of Relay for Life which all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society to try and find a cure for cancer. Stone County emergency services which is 911. Providing the public with the highest quality centralized emergency dispatch in the United States of America. The Theodosia volunteer fire department proceeds were used to better serve the community. Branson senior center. The funds raised were used for Home bound meals and other services. Wright county children's home. The proceeds went to help provide food, shelter, clothing and recreation for the unfortunate boys and girls in their care. Kiwanis pancakes with Santa. The proceeds went to pregnancy lifeline. Also for pancakes with the Easter bunny. The proceeds went to Gift of Hope. Options Pregnancy clinic. Their mission is to empower individuals to make life-affirming decisions regarding pregnancy and sexual health. National Institute of Marriage. Inspiring couples toward greatness. Children's Miracle network. Children's Hospital. OACAC. Helping families in need. Boys Ranch Town. Parenting homeless or troubled boys.
